Specialized training in the field of Environmental Monitoring, June 25 to July 19, 2018.

The Environmental Monitoring with Marine Focus program is an 18-day course that prepares students for work as an environmental monitor, with a specialized focus on marine protection.

Today’s environmental monitors work with industry stakeholders to mitigate the environmental impacts of resource-based projects and industrial activities. This course introduces learners to the theoretical and practical components of environmental monitoring, teaching the students appropriate procedures for observing, reporting, and responding to potentially harmful impacts.

Who should apply? Lax Kw’alaams Band members with an interest in protecting the marine environment.
